Spending time with my kids, riding motorcycles (street, trail and motocross) , airplane piloting, adventure travel, horseback riding, white water and flat water canoeing and kayaking, wake boarding, snow skiing, building design, home and office construction, NASCAR fan, business development, hunting, hiking, camping, painting, landscape design, investing, and politics.

I am a licensed airplane pilot .

Instrument Rated Pilot for Single Engine High Performance Aircraft

2,400+ hours as Pilot in Command.

I have flown solo round trip from Wilmington, North Carolina to Oakland, California, and from Augusta, Maine to Boca Raton, Florida, thereby flying solo all the way across the United States twice as well as the entire eastern seaboard at least twice. I have landed an airplane at most of the airports in North Carolina [there is an airport in most counties] and have made instrument approaches to a landing in IFR weather at most of North Carolina’s Airports that have IFR approaches.

I have a full motorcycle license.

I have driven across the Southeast, including travel through Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
